This presentation is an overview of lateral lining, lateral-to-main connection sealing and associated practices, as a general guideline for wastewater facility owners.

trapaniJacob Trapani has over 30 years of management and construction experience in the trenchless pipe rehabilitation industry.  He is currently vice president of BLD Services, overseeing the Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) Lateral Lining division which is the largest CIPP Lateral Lining Contractor in the U.S.  He also currently serves on the NASSCO Executive Board of Directors and is the past chair of the Lateral Committee.

kunayJonathan Kunay, P.E., LEED AP, project manager at CDM Smith, has worked in the civil/environmental consulting industry for 13 years on a variety of trenchless projects. These include infrastructure assessment and rehabilitation, facilities planning and asset management. He has a Bachelor’s of Civil Engineering and a minor in Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Description
The session will provide a review of the Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) lateral lining processes and systems, along with the effectiveness of each.

brendan-doyleBrendan Doyle has been involved and associated with trenchless technologies for over 21 years working primarily in the Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) industry involving both main lines and laterals. Currently project manager for BLD Services LLC, he is responsible for sales, marketing, operations, product development and project management in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast areas. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and has been an active member of NASSCO’s lateral committee for the past three years.

The presentation includes a review of technology for stopping infiltration in laterals with injection grouts.

rigbyDon Rigby has 35 years of marketing, business development and management experience in high-tech and environmental engineering industries. He currently serves as vice president, responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing and educational programs, for Avant International. He is chairman of NASSCO/ICGA membership and marketing committee, a member of WEF, and active on the I/I Collections Committee.
