This presentation will be an overview of the key components of the MACP inspection system. These key components include: MACP inspection forms; inspection levels; and manhole component descriptions. Discussion will include the latest technologies for quick and accurate manhole inspections that meet MACP requirements.

Steve Henning has over 30 years of technical experience in the environmental and infrastructure rehabilitation industries. He is an active NASSCO trainer with over 10 years of experience conducting certification training, and technical experience from authoring multiple ASTM standard practices, and being heavily involved in field inspection operations. His educational background in Industrial Hygiene and Safety is invaluable when conducting pipe and manhole inspections in a wide variety of conditions and materials.

The session will cover an overview and background of formula used for determining Minimum Coating Thickness in rehabbed manholes. Discussion will include: definition of Coatings V. Linings, selection of a cementitious liner thickness, selection of a polymer coating thickness, and unbonded shell type liner thickness.

tim-backTim Back, P.E., has been in the sewer industry for 23 years, previously working for the city of Cincinnati Metropolitan Sewer District as an inspector for CIPP and manhole rehab. He currently owns Back Municipal Consulting, which helps solve communities’ sewer problems. He is a member of NASSCO’s Manhole Rehabilitation and Lateral Committees, and is a certified trainer for the NASSCO Inspector Training and Certification Programs.

He currently serves as vice president, responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing and educational programs, for Avanti International. He is chairman of the NASSCO/ICGA membership and marketing committee, a member of WEF, and active on the I/I Collections Committee.

This session discusses what conditions are best suited for cementitious liners, including how they’re installed and tested. It also covers an overview of how to select a polymer manhole rehabilitation technology for specific deterioration conditions, such as providing structural support, corrosion protection and leakage control, as applicable; structure preparation; and structure testing.

shookBill Shook is president and founder of AP/M Permaform, a trenchless solutions company that provides manhole and pipe lining systems through its global network of licensed applicators. He is a past president of NASSCO and has actively contributed to the improvement of industry standards since 1987.

munchmeyerGerry Muenchmeyer, P.E., has over 50 years of experience in the pipeline industry and, for the last 35 years, has been actively involved in the development of the trenchless pipeline industry in the U.S. and internationally. He has chaired numerous industry organizations and committees, and for 10 years served as Technical Director for NASSCO. Currently he is the Master Trainer for NASSCO and principal of Muenchmeyer Associates LLC.
